A Romanian bus manufacturing company has won the bid to supply 50 buses for public transportation, although not in Bucharest.
The company, BMC Truck & Bus, is based in the Ilfov commune of Ciorogârla. The contract with the Ploiești City Hall is estimated at 41 million lei (9 million euros) and is the largest contract the company has won so far.
Following the selection of the winning bidder, Ploiești will receive 50 Euro 6 diesel buses for public transportation. The bid was launched in February this year, but only now has the eligible candidate been selected.
